Daily Devotion

Do you want to please God?
Do you want to feel that God appreciates you …
… that God appreciates what you do?
???
Sure you want to …
… the only question is ... HOW?
How can you get God to appreciate you?
How can you do things for God that gives Him pleasure?

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit;
so shall ye be my disciples.
--- John 15:8

Jesus said ...
... if you want to do something for God ... bear fruit!
But ... what kind of fruit does God want you to bear?
The same fruit Jesus bore ... LOVE!

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar:
for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen,
how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
--- I Jn 4:20

How do you bear that love "fruit"?
The Bible says ...
The way you love others ... is the way you love God!
The way you treat others ... is the way you treat God!
The way you reach out to others ... is the way you reach out to God!
... and that is the way you touch God!
!!!
God is love and He wants us to love others for Him ...
... yet He does not expect us to do it on our own ...

… because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts
by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
--- Rom 5:5

What you need in order to reach out to others ... is in you!
!!!
But what if they don't respond to it or appreciate it?

For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye?
for sinners also love those that love them.
--- Luke 6:32

When Jesus showed us God's love on the cross ...
... He was not looking for a positive response or appreciation!
So don't you!
For whatever you give (whether it's received or not) …
... you will receive a harvest from God in return.
