Daily Devotion

Quoting scripture is easy!
But believing … and knowing that you know that it works ...
... that is not so easy!
That God does what we can understand ... is one thing ...
But when the Bible says God does beyond what we can understand ...
... well that's something else ...

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we
ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
--- Eph. 3:20

Exceeding abundantly above all that we ask?
Exceeding abundantly above all that we think?
Does God truly do that? …
Where? When? How?
… Show me! …
Take Abraham as an example ... having a child at 100 years old, he did well …
There is also ... Moses … Joshua … Job! ... they all did well, but ...
… was that Exceeding Abundantly Above All ? …
Is there really an example of God doing ... Exceedingly Abundantly Above ALL?

In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night:
and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
--- I King 3:5

God said to Solomon … "Tell Me what you want Me to do for you?"
Solomon asked God for wisdom … This pleased God and He said to Solomon …

Behold, I have done according to thy words: … And I have also given thee
that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall
not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
--- I King 3:12-13

… Exceeding Abundantly Above ... ALL …
God gave Solomon Exceeding Abundantly Above All that he asked!
... Why? ...
Solomon put God in control of his life ...
"Give me your wisdom so I will be able to do things your way!"
... and because Solomon put God's way and God's will before his own ...
God could do for him ... even more than he asked!
!!!
God was able to do it for Solomon and God is able to do it for you!

For I am the LORD, I change not; --- Mal. 3:6

But how will I please God the way Solomon did?

But without faith it is impossible to please him: --- Heb. 11:6

Solomon pleased God by trusting Him … so can you!
