Humble and meek, strong or weak…!

One of the characteristics of a child of God …
… that has been more misunderstood than anything else …
… is HUMILITY …
True humility is not a weakness neither is it degrading …
But it is one of the most powerful characteristics …
In the kingdom of heaven …
As Jesus put it …

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
---
Matt. 5:5

To be meek or to humble yourself, means …
… to recognize the greatness and strength of another …
and in God's kingdom that means …
… to recognize God's greatness, strength and abilities!
… and it also means …
to understand and act upon
Hebrews 11:6

… for he that cometh to God must believe that he (God) is …
(all He says He is and will do all He says He will do)
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him …
(and that God will do all He promised, for you!)

How do you do that?
By humbling or subordinating yourself to God …
… and by being strong in God's strength and not in your own!

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
---
James 4:10
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
that he may exalt you in due time:
---
I Peter 5:6

No! … it is not being weak or pushed around …
But … it is also not about having your own way!
It is about honoring God … in your life, and …
It is about standing up for God's rights … in His strength!

And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves,
and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made
a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple,
….… And said unto them … Take these things hence;
make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
And his disciples remembered that it was written,
The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
---
John 2:13-17

It is a zeal for God and His ways …
… and letting God give you the victory, in love and in His strength …
