Happy ... Smiling ... Looking to the future...
A future that should be ... far better than the past!

... a future to invest in ... with prayer ...

There are many dark spots in history ...
... but probably few as dark as the slave trade of Africa ...

And a reminder of that is ...

Situated just a few kilometers off shore of Dakar ,,,
... the Island of Goree houses a grim reminder of those times!

The Door of no Return !

The infamous door of "no return" ...
... through which the Africans captured on the main land, and brought to this house ...
... kept by the hundreds in the dark, damp and cramped rooms below ...
... were taken into slavery in the Americas and the Caribbean ...
... The point of no return ...
...
Where thousands passed through ... and as many died refusing to be made slaves!

On the upper floor ... the captors and masters!
Below ... the captives and soon to be shipped ... slaves

It was the point of no return ...
And it is a point to return to ...
... not just to remember what happened ...
... and certainly not to find fault and point a finger!
For that would only serve to keep you captive!
No!...
It is a point to return to, a free man!
... from where to build in the strength of that freedom ...
A point to step out of the past... into the future ...
... the future of an Africa ... that is taking its rightful place ...
...
From being a resource for the outside (world) ...
To becoming a resource and strength to the outside (world)

Goree ... Historic and beautiful ...

... A mixture of Africa and Europe ...

... with its special kind of art ...

... But most of all ...
Goree is about people ...
The people of Senegal and Africa ...

Not just people with a past to deal with and forget ...
But ...
A people looking to the future ...
... a future that Covenant Ministries wants to help shape!

In accomplishing our mission, we provide ...
... Free ... Online Bible Courses, Devotionals and Studies, Teachings and Resources,
to touch and build the lives of people all over the world
and to bring them into that love relationship with God and their fellowmen.
... Bible Courses and Teaching material to Pastors and leaders in underprivileged areas all over the world,
such as Africa, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South America, Jamaica, Eastern Europe ... etc.
to equip them to touch the lives of the people in their own areas.

To (fully) accomplish our mission we need ...
... Your help and support in prayer and in finances ...
For the ministry to grow and fulfill its mission, more time, effort and resources are required,
which in turn necessitates more support and more finances.
