Jesus, in teaching on life and living, used two parables as examples to describe
… the reality and indeed the necessity of us using our talents,
the talent or talents that God has given us,
as is so graphically depicted in Matt. 25

For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country,
who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.
And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and
to another one, to each according to his own ability;
and immediately he went on a journey.

God's heart is to bless man,
… and faith is the vehicle God uses!
And seeing that blessing man is what pleases God,
it is obvious that without faith we cannot please Him,
... because without faith,
we make it impossible for Him to bless us!

God has blessed us and has given to all of us, … an ability, a potential or talent(s), Gen. 1:28 and according to how we use that, God can and will increase it … His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.. --- Matt. 25:21 God is not partial (Acts 10:34) ... but a rewarder of our efforts, in Him!	But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. --- Heb. 11:6 God has indeed given us all that we need, … He has given us the blessing, ability and a measure of faith (Rom. 10:23) … He has given us a helper, the Holy Spirit, … He gives us increase, and He even supplies all our need! (Phil. 4:19) Yet … so often, we just don’t seem to profit from life.

Impacting Uganda

When Pastor Dawson of Covenant Ministries East Africa and I started to plan this trip,
as always, we were expected to break new ground. During our previous trip to Uganda
fewer Training Centre contacts than we had hoped for were established, however, it
soon became obvious that this trip to Uganda was going to be different.

E-mails from all over Uganda started to pour in, some were from pastors we had
met previously, but others just came as if out of the blue. Considering that blue
is the colour of the sky (heaven) it was clear to us where they were coming from!

On this trip we held six meetings with new pastor groups, and the pastors from
four of those groups have already started to sign up for the Bible Courses.

We also had meetings with the pastors from the other two groups we had met with
previously. It was good to see them again and to encourage them to continue and
to also sign-up for the Advanced Courses.

Community Projects ...

We were blessed to have Elizabeth, Pastor Dawson's wife accompany us,
& whilst we discussed Courses & Training Centres, Elizabeth got to know
the local pastors' wives, explaining to them in more details our work with
the Street Kids and the Community projects.

So when Elizabeth heard about the Kids and Community projects started by
Pastor Daniel in their local district, especially their sewing & domestic skills
training projects, she immediately promised them a second sewing machine.

Over the next months, we will re-visit those areas with a view to strengthen and help train at the new
Training Centres as well as assisting in and also starting new Street Kids and Community projects.

... and the communities in which they live, need YOU!
... to become spiritually and practically involved,
... to sow into the lives of others,
... bearing fruit through your prayer and financial support!
