The Bible tells us that after the creation of man, God said ... It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him. --- Gen. 2:18 A comparable helper … does that mean a helper who is alike or similar? No! For it seems that God made the helper very different! So, why did God create different sexes, male and female? Was it so that man could multiply? Or so that man had a compatible helper? Or was it so they could fulfil different functions? God created Adam & Eve as opposites, ... not only for a very special purpose, but also in a very special way. Different, but both with His character! So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. --- Gen. 1:27 In His own image - God created him, male! And ... In His own image - God created her, female! Why did God make them so different? Read ... Equal, yet opposite ... here! |
Equal, yet opposite … Man and woman, each one created in God’s image, … God’s character in them! Yet God did not put all the same characteristics in them, … but so individually endowed each one, … that together they would be complete! So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. --- Gen. 2:20 Before God separated man, making a male and a female, Man was complete in himself, but man was alone, … without the possibility of fully expressing what God had placed in him. Therefore God Himself said … It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him. --- Gen. 2:18 For man to live the fullness of the life God put in man, there needs to be the possibility … to live covenant and express love. Therefore God made the male and the female! … with different abilities, … and a different perception, … with a different understanding, Yet with the same mind and the same goal! 2-gether 2-accomplish God’s purpose and will for mankind!
