One only needs to look at the world and its economic woes, … and at the world’s political turmoil and upheaval, To know that the world needs, … and actually wants, change! So why is it that change seems so difficult? Are we afraid of change? Are we not ready for change? Are we waiting or wanting others to change? Actually it is all of those … We are afraid because it may cost us something, … and we feel secure with what we have! We want things to change, … but we expect others (government etc.) to arrange or to do it! In reality though, those are all just excuses! Sure we may be afraid of change, … and feel secure with what we have and are used to. But … What is hindering us? About what is probably the most important choice or decision we need to make in our lives, God made this statement, … saying to us, I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, --- Deut. 30:19 Read ... Change... are you ready ... here! |
The Bible tells us that after the creation of man, God said ... It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him. --- Gen. 2:18 A comparable helper … does that mean a helper who is alike or similar? No! For it seems that God made the helper very different! So, why did God create different sexes, male and female? Was it so that man could multiply? Or so that man had a compatible helper? Or was it so they could fulfil different functions? God created Adam & Eve as opposites, ... not only for a very special purpose, but also in a very special way. Different, but both with His character! So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. --- Gen. 1:27 In His own image - God created him, male! And ... In His own image - God created her, female! Why did God make them so different? Read ... Equal, yet opposite ... here! |
