All projects initiated by the Kidsworld Centers are as far as possible Life Skill Training as well as Environmental development orientated.
Depending on the specific location of the Center and therefore the available
local resources and possibilities, the project types vary from Center to Center.
Therefore the projects in Centers in a city environment and those in a rural setting will of necessity be different.
The types of projects that are run by Centers, are for instance:
Schooling,
… in particular primary level education.
Adult education,
… specifically including the older generation.
Extra mural schooling,
… including school subject & homework assistance.
Trade Skills & Hand Craft,
… all levels of apprentice type projects.
Sewing & Hand craft,
… including garment making.
Cooking and Nutrition,
… including commercial projects.
Musical Training,
… including sound engineering.
Agricultural Projects,
… including livestock and agriculture.
Physical Education and Hygiene,
… including AIDS awareness etc.
All the projects, although primarily for the benefit of the Street Children themselves, are all also training projects,
aimed at involving everyone in those local communities,
with the specific goal of fully integrating the centers in the local communities.
The projects are at the same time also aimed at benefiting those communities in which they are situated, on an educational and humanitarian level,
… with the specific intention of also, ... becoming self-sufficient centers, integrated in the community,
… creating additional resources for development of the community,
… and so providing the opportunity for the multiplication of the centers,
in that community as well as in other communities.
