What seed are you sowing?

There is one simple yet powerful principle to life,
… to being blessed by & receiving from God.

Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey
the voice of the LORD your God,
to observe carefully all His commandments …
And all these blessings shall come upon you and
overtake you, because you obey the voice of the
LORD your God.
--- Deut. 28:1-2 - Rev. 1:3

We have to hear and obey God, and we must also do what He tells us to do,
… so that God can do what He promised to do,
… and what He desires to do… for us!
No!
… it is not all up to God, as James so aptly put it

For as the body without the spirit is dead,
so faith without works is dead also
--- James 2:26

There needs to be an action on our part,
… based on and in response to … God’s Word,
that God can respond to and act upon,
… so that He can do His Word,
… and fulfil His promises in our lives!

Jesus Himself said this to us …

Assuredly, I say to you,
whatever you bind on earth
will be bound in heaven,
and whatever you loose on earth
will be loosed in heaven.
--- Matt. 18:18

And in explaining our role or our part in God’s Word manifesting in our lives,
Paul wrote this to the Corinthians …

However, the spiritual is not first,
but the natural,
and afterward the spiritual.
-- 1 Cor. 15:46

Something needs to happen on earth that God can respond to and that He can get involved in.

We need to act on His Word,
… so He can confirm His Word!
We need to activate His principle(s)
… so He can manifest His promise(s)

However without the spiritual connection,
… there is no power

Acting on God’s Word without activating God’s Word,
… or acting on God’s Word without making God personally part of your action,
… or acting on God’s Word without making Him Lord or God of that action or situation,
… is an action without God,
and thus an act without the manifestation of His power!

God Himself said this to us …

I will dwell in them and walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.
--- 2 Cor 6:16

For God to be GOD in our lives and involved in our actions (faith or otherwise)
We have to make God, GOD or Lord of our lives,
… and of all our actions!!
And as we do that, we have the promise,
… and indeed we have the proof,
that God will be with us,
… and He will do what He promised to do.

And they went out and preached everywhere,
the Lord working with them
and confirming the word
through the accompanying signs. Amen.
--- Mark. 16:20

As the disciples obeyed Jesus’ instruction or His command to them,
… and as they went and did what He told them to do,
God worked with them and confirmed His promises!

In the same way, for God to be with you,
and for Him to get involved in your life,
... you have to both make Him Lord in your life,
… and of your actions,
and you have to act on His Word,
… and according to His principles,

But someone will say,
"You have faith, and I have works."
Show me your faith without your works,
and I will show you my faith by my works.
--- James 2:18

Too often in this modern, instant, busy life of ours,
we overlook the simple principles of life,
… that God instituted.
Principles that like God, have not changed,
… for He does not change,

For I am the LORD, I do not change.
--- Mal. 3:6

And one of those principles that God ordained,
… and set in motion, is

While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.
--- Gen. 8:22

The principle of seedtime & harvest is not only one
of the fundamental principle of life, but is in fact the foundation to life,
… and is the principle that effectively governs life!

You have to put something in,
… to get something out!

Seedtime & Harvest …

A principle that we know and use in our daily lives,

An Investor, invests so he can get a return!
A farmer plants so he can get a harvest!
A worker works before he gets his pay!

A principle that we apply daily, without question!
A principle that we teach our children,
… unless you do your studies,
… you will not be successful!
So basic, so simple!

Yet, when it comes to our relationship with God,
… when it comes to our lives and expectations of God,
we expect it to work the other way around!

Suddenly, everything depends on God,
… God is in control of everything!
… God must initiate everything!
… God must do everything!
And I no longer have the responsibility for anything,
… it is ALL up to God!

What has changed?
Has God changed?

No!
God has not changed,
… and neither has the principle!

Just because God becomes involved, nothing changes.
God does not change, neither does His Word …

For I am the LORD, I do not change.
--- Mal. 3:6

While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest, ...
Shall not cease.
--- Gen. 8:22

In fact it applies the same on earth and in heaven …

Assuredly, I say to you,
whatever you bind on earth

and whatever you loose on earth
will be loosed in heaven.

Therefore the question also remains …
What principle are you applying in your life?

Which God ordained principle are you applying?
What faith action or step are you taking,
... in response to your trust in God’s Word,
What principle are you acting upon,
… that lines up with God's Word,

As God Himself said …

So shall My word be
that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
--- Isa. 55:11

What principle are you applying,
… that God can act upon?
… that God can cause to come to pass?
… that God’s Word can accomplish in your life?

What seed are you sowing that God can multiply?
… that is going to bring you the harvest you expect?

It is not up to God,
It is not up to someone else …
It is up to YOU!
